So blogspot's computer system had tagged my blog as spam because I update through flickr. I had to email someone to verify that my blog wasn't advertising or spam. Took awhile, but to be fair I've been busy too. Updates will happen regularly again from here on out, just maybe not always around midnight over the next few weeks. Anyways, I did this one in the studio awhile ago. I've had it ready to go but it just hasn't got up there for some reason. Lindsay was doing a shoo with them so I borrowed them and decided to light one on fire. Enjoy~

Straws
I shot this for an assignment in school. I've spent the day with these kinds of photos, and they are getting printed as we speak. Three different shots will be put on a 11x17 paper. This was intended to take everyday boring things and create interesting compoisitions out of them.
I also got another photo on the Torontoist of my cat, Lucifer.

Subway Pole Base
I have a lot of TTC subway photos, not because I love to shoot in the subway It's just that when you spend about two hours on it everyday you have to find to fill time to make it go by faster. I love the footmarks on the ground in this one. Simplicity can be so great sometimes. Of course this is one of the older subways, they tend to look nicer anyways.
4x5 Back
This is the film version of the Crystal Ball that I did. At least the setup for it. The composition for the final negatives actually changed. Because of the intense spot lighting the black background got blown out to white in order to get the correct exposure on the film plane of the camera. Enjoy~

Crystal Ball
Shot in the studio on 4x5 cameras yesterday. I decided to take a digital version and am really pleased with the result. The spoon is more of a technical thing than aesthetic. Studio shooting is amazing just due to the fact that you can control your lighting. Makes thins a hell of a lot easier.
